This week two members from the US Air Force took a trip to Gold and Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, home of the show Pawn Stars. They were wondering how this local pawn shop came across the AIM-120 AMRAAM missile guidance system and missile parts. They wanted to make sure the missile was no longer active and didn’t have any important information.
The owners or Pawn Stars bought the missile from a woman who reportedly inherited it from her father. She claims that he bought it at a military auction back in the 80’s and has all the proper documentation.
This just goes to show the crazy things that come into a local pawn shop. Many people think that pawn shops only buy jewelry or watches or electronics but most local pawn shops will consider anything, even military missiles.
